Please don't make generalizations about "American companies" or
"European companies". It would be much more constructive to cite
specific violators, instead of making such mostly-unwarranted generalizations.

Patent litigation everywhere is on the rise. It's not
limited to just the USA and Europe. From the first link:
"More patent cases are being filed in China than in the US."
