A Few more for you
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, April 17 2013 @ 02:49 PM EDT
I failed Calculus six times when I was in college, out of eight attempts. My
major was computer science; this failure was a factor in me being
"suspended" a year for poor performance. I was never able return,
though. (another factor was a semester I failed every class, but I actually had
a good reason for it, I just didn't talk to a counselor when I should have- long
story)

It frustrates the hell out of me I still probably couldn't pass it today, almost
a decade later. There were classes I got perfect scores (Sociology, Psychology,
Microeconomics, etc) even! I've read books and messed with it since those days
and understand it better now, but still not sure I get it. I actually had an
easier time understanding more antiquated books I found about it. I'm going to
have to take a look at these, see if I can redeem myself.

That was a long roundabout way of saying thanks :)

Say, thanks for that list.

If someone wants to pull together a list
of computer classes available, maybe we
should do a page, a permanent page?

www.coursera.org is another one (I'm a satisfied "free" customer).
