Yes, but only US thinks that their laws are universal. That makes their lack of
common sense worse.

True as that may be, it does not negate the fact that the US suffers from
scarcity of natural resource deposits of common sense.
In order to meet the domestic need, the US must both import common sense from
foreign sources, and find ways to conserve and cut back on the use of common
sense.
