A small matter of historical accuracy
Authored by: Wol on Saturday, April 13 2013 @ 03:54 AM EDT
It does sound like you're getting a raw deal, but don't assume because most
bulbs blow before their rated time that they aren't lasting to spec.

Many electrical items have a half-life, and for items like that, I think about
2/3rds of them will fail before their rated average life. That's just simple
maths.

That said, as I said above, I don't think that's true in your case...

Cheers,
Wol

About 10 - 20 years all manufacturing of such items a lighting fixtures, bulbs,
and plumbing fixtures virtually stopped in the US and switched to China. The
quality is not the same.
