The patent system may well be flawed, but it is what it is and the rules should
be followed.
There are now 20 Android related, royalty bearing licence agreements in place
(mostly with Microsoft). If you break the rules it will catch up with you and
Google are quickly realising this. Many more licence deals will be announced in
the near future, I'm sure.
The result is that Android is now far from "free" and becoming less
and less attractive to OEM's . Samsung's Tizen is perhaps the strongest proof of

I perceive the serious lack of wisdom though.
