Where, exactly, does Firefox direct users to a search
partner?
"Exactly," hunh. Here, 'pon my desktop, I have Firefox
20.0. One of the bars – the top one – is the Navigation toolbar,
the one that has the URL box. Just to its right is the search box. If your
toolbars have been customized, things may be different — you may need to
find the search box in the View → Toolbars→
Customize window and put it back on a toolbatr.
In the search box,
there is (right now) a Google G, a down-indicating triangle (▼), the space
for search text, and a magnifier symbol.
When I click on either the Google G
or the triangle, I get a drop-down-list selection widget, containing a list of
searching things: Google Search, Yahoo!, Bing, eBay, etc. (This is the
normal, expected behaviour for anything with the down-indicating triangle beside
it.) The last line says "Manage Search Engines...". As expected, clicking on
that last line takes me to a window widget that has, among other features, a
link for "get more search engines...". What would you expect to happen upon
clicking that one?
Is that sufficiently exact to meet your
request? --- --Bill. NAL: question the answers, especially mine. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
