Common human behaviour

Look at celebrities, football teams, and a whole load of other things.

People feel a need to pick a side, and then they'll try to tear down who they
see as that side's opposition.

Don't ask me to explain why though.

Religious Turfing
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, April 04 2013 @ 07:02 AM EDT

We used to get the same stuff from Microsoft supporters at one point, but Microsoft's reputation has taken such a hit that trolling of that sort would be read as sarcasm, and was read as sarcasm, much to the annoyance of the trolls. So they stopped it.

I imagine the same will happen to Apple too. Pity. It was a nice company, once.

One mans (persons?) "turfing" is the genuinely held opinion of
another. Labelling someone a turfer just for holding an opinion that is
different to yours is wrong.

By reasoned discussion, you are unlikely to be able to convince die hards, but
you can perhaps produce enough evidence and reason to change the mind of those
closer to the mid-line of any argument.
