Docket #3, March 28, 2003

"Please take notice that the Honorable Paul G. Cassell has recused from
hearing the above-cited case. The case has been reassigned to the Honorable
Dale A. Kimball"

SCO has gone through seven judges.

Let's count the Judges

Maybe, if we're lucky, it will be assigned to Judge Stewart.

How about Judge Judy or Judge Matthis?

Does any judge have to take it?

Suppose they all find plausible grounds for recusal.
What's the tarbaby's next move?

Let's count the Judges

So it's not just us who are turning up our collective noses at that bad smell we
just can't get rid of. Not even the judges want to dirty their hands with it.
Don't blame 'em.

Let's count the Judges

I'm not looking up Judge Nuffer's given name, because I so want it to be
Edward, or Eric.
Then IBM counsel can indicate to Mr Hatch, "Come on, that's E. Nuffer,
that."

Sorry.

Do you think maybe they are giving SCO the run-around?
Authored by: Gringo_ on Wednesday, March 27 2013 @ 09:50 AM EDT

Maybe those judges aren't so 'mechanical' as we might think, but rather, are human beings who are well aware of what SCO is all about, and deliberately giving them the run around. Maybe they even read Groklaw. Maybe they even share our disgust for the SCOundrels. Is that possible?

So what happens if they run out?
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, March 27 2013 @ 10:16 AM EDT
What, happens if every judge recuses from the case? Is the
"last judge assigned to" not allowed to recuse? Does it go to
the judge with the least cause to recuse? Does it go to
another jurisdiction? And if so, which one?
