What makes them think they have a right to shove ads in our faces when we have
said we don't want them? Many of us will not buy anything that is pushed at us
in such a way. A bit of a self perpetuating myth in the ad world it seem to me.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Guess what? I see almost no ads due to Adblock Plus and Noscript. I'll just
block whatever they throw at me anyway.
Do they really think they are going to scare anybody? Mozilla will probably just
beef up the built in ad blocker.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I think there is a difference. From what I have heard of Safari, and know about
NoScript, etc. they don't block adds by default, you have to enable it or
download the tools. This will will change the behavior from Opt-in to Opt-out.
That is likely why they are so upset.
