Stallman Calls Ubuntu Spyware; Asks FLISOL Not to Recommend It at Events in South America ~pj

Ah, if only the radio-listening public had as much zeal and oversight as the
open source community, such a thing wouldn't be as much of a surprise.

As a matter of disclosure, yes, I use Kubuntu, but the first thing I did was
disable the features that have concerned many, not just because of a desire for
privacy, but because I don't use that functionality, and wanted to alleviate any
concerns I had about such functionality affecting the performance of my system.
As a former user of Linux From Scratch and Gentoo, I have no problems paring
down my system to just the items I need. I do understand, for most though, that
sometimes that's just not an easy option.
