Phone cameras? Really?
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, March 20 2013 @ 02:00 PM EDT
Let's see if I got it right...

They compare the cameras (the hardware) and then they conclude that Windows Phone OS (the software) is better than Android ?

MS is desperate...
Authored by: TerryC on Wednesday, March 20 2013 @ 03:21 PM EDT
OK. Let me get this straight. The consensus seems to be that this ad is a fake and MS paid actors and doctored the pictures to produce it. Is that legal in the US? In the UK, we have the Advertising Standards Authority which regulates companies producing advertisements. Anyone can raise a complaint about an Ad and if upheld the company has to withdraw the Ad and/or pay a fine. Either way they get exposed as a fraud.

It seems to me that US companies can get away with this stuff.

My Samsung phone does exactly this every time I put my thumb
over the flash, smear Vaseline on the lens and shake the
camera when I take the picture.

Exactly this. Every time.

All MS' adds are fake
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, March 20 2013 @ 04:02 PM EDT

I've yet to a single MS add where the person who is so happy to have the phone is actually using it.

The phone magically has the exact app they want right there already open and on the information they were looking for.

I'd like to see an add where two people are talking and one says, "hang on, I'll look that up" then the camera shifts and the person actually goes through the process of opening up the appropriate app and entering the search criteria to get the info. Show their fingers along with the screen as they pull up the app!

:)

Nah... MS has an estimated 3 more years before they get to the basic usability state.

I guess "Britney" didn't know the Galaxy has a number of choices to ensure enhanced photos under different settings like night shots.
