Too many assumptions.....(pedant warning)
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, March 20 2013 @ 11:53 AM EDT
You're not factoring in the PR 'fear/FUD' factor.

"he made $100,000",

may simply mean that he grossed an income of $100,000 dollars irrespective of
costs.

Which probably turns out to be $82,300 or some such which is obviously the same
as $100,000, when you want to make the number easily digestible.

At an average of $100 per book, that's less than 1000 books
which is then less than one a day according to the rest of your assumptions.

Your sales period is mostly right before school begins.

I doubt he sold many after the first week or 2 after the
semester began.

Sorry, your pricing is wrong. College texts are between $150 (softcover) and
$300 (hardcover) even at relatively inexpensive schools.
