So the First Sale Docrtrin applies to materials manufactured overseas but the
owner of the copyright resided in the US, and the overseas copies were legally
manufactured through a license from the copyright holder in the US.

Does this affect the case from several months back where someone was sued for
reselling a watch on ebay because the design of the face of the watch was
copyrighted by the company who made the watch, and the watch was made and sold
in another country initially, and the owner of the copyright in that case was
not a US based entity?
