I *WOULD* have recommended Demon. Not so sure now, especially as they are a
subsidiary of Clueless & Witless now.
But their standard home broadband comes with no cap.
In the old dialup days their accounts also came with an attitude of "here's
a static IP and a connection, do what you like". But those days are long
gone.
I switched from them to BT. They do an unlimited account. Dunno about running
what you like over it - what's good from my point of view is that their
"home hubs" broadcast a public secured wi-fi so if I'm away from home,
I can connect to any random router nearby, log in to the BT network, and I'm
away ...
Cheers,

There is a UK ISP run by a colourful character known as The Reverend Adrian
Kennard, there stance can be judged by one of the urls that points to their
homepage http://sod.ms, if you prefer a more formal
approach they are Andrews and Arnold http://aa.net.uk, they are totally linux
friendly and very competent. In addition they are nice guys!
PS I am
not financially connected to them in any way other than paying them for access
each month!
