I got curious about this report. It only mentioned Apple, Microsoft, and
Adobe. Who else was there?
Nobody. Only they were 'invited' to appear
before Parliament. That doesn't
mean pricing issues don't exist with other
companies, just that these three
are getting grilled. One good report is on the

Apple's responses are fascinating. They are trying
to blame the
MPAA/RIAA for everything. The problem is that in earlier hearings
the
MPAA/RIAA tried to blame Apple.
Who would you believe? Are both
lying?
Should be interesting to see how this plays out, though there
are rumors
Australia may be coming up on an election, which might derail the
hearings.

$17.99 on iTunes in Australia but the equivalent of $13 overseas, and the movie
Toy Story costing $24.99 in Australia but about $10 overseas."
Must be the freight costs to down under. ;-)
Actually, in Canada, we've long seen similar on a lot of products. I've even
seen some things that are made in Canada sold at a fraction of the cost in the
U.S.. So tell me again about the duties, etc. Why should something made here
be significantly cheaper in the U.S.?
