ukjaybrat explained about having hit submit and not being
able to edit a post. Provided that not too much time has
passed, and also if no-one has yet replied to your post,
logged in posters may delete their own prior posting.

There have been a number of times that deleting my own post
has served me well. And if you grab the contents of the
old post first, you can just paste them in the comment box
as the start for your desired edits.

Just another benefit of being logged in.
