Very nice, but ...

Yes, I am cynic no.1 even before you.

And yet, for the sake of our own sanity-of-mind
we 'gotta do this'.

BJ is right

If we don't do this, we must stop debating all of it and stop complaining about
patent law suits. Just ranting on our own is futile.

There are a lot of judges with good math abilities and some like Judge Alsup
with programming knowledge and skills. They might not get all the issues, but
getting any one is, in fact, the path to getting the rest.

Software Patents: It's the disclosed functions in the patent, stupid!

If they do want to follow the wishes of big business, they would hopefully start
by asking him whether he did actually say what is quoted, and what he meant by
it. That one answer alone should be enough to justify getting rid of all
software patents.

The bigger problem
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, March 11 2013 @ 09:19 PM EDT
I am not suggesting that a response should not be written, but I too believe it
will fall on deaf ears. Accepting the submission would mean conceding that the
courts and patent office have spent decades stuffing up the industry. It would
take an enormous amount of integrity to admit this and change direction -
probably far more than they have.
