“CINCINNATI — A southwestern Ohio judge yesterday ordered a halt to a
speeding-ticket blitz in a village that installed traffic cameras, saying it’s
“a scam” against motorists”
“Elmwood Place is engaged in nothing
more than a high-tech game of 3-Card Monty .. It is a scam that motorists can’t
win”. link[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

It's official: The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act was
reintroduced in the House of Representatives yesterday. CISPA is the contentious
bill civil liberties advocates fought last year, which would provide a
poorly-defined "cybersecurity" exception to existing privacy law. CISPA offers
broad immunities to companies who choose to share data with government agencies
(including the private communications of users) in the name of cybersecurity. It
also creates avenues for companies to share data with any federal agencies,
including military intelligence agencies like the National Security Agency
(NSA).
EFF is adamantly opposed to CISPA. Will you join us in calling on
Congress to stop this and any other privacy-invasive cybersecurity
legislation?

Thank
you, PJ, for the education over the last ten years that enabled me to "get it"
while reading this article. I smirked, gasped, laughed, chuckled evilly, and
thoroughly enjoyed reading about the "bad guys" getting their just desserts. And
apparently there is more to come!
Highly recommended. If you haven't been
