I take "..shipped up in Apple's pitch.." to be equivalent to: "..got up in Apples grill..".

I take the whole parade of fatuous phrases to be equivalent to an admission that the author has nothing much to say.

It could have all been so different if Foxconn daddy Hon Hai had made good on a deal penned around this time last year to slurp a 9.9 per cent stake in Sharp...

Slurp Daddy? Really? Sounds like a Hip Hop DJ.

It would have to be somewhat similar if he made bad, heh?
