Assuming True: That's Highly Ironic
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, March 08 2013 @ 12:09 PM EST

Assuming True: because I always take everything with a grain of salt. Even if mostly true, unless it's "from the horses mouth" this incident is just rumor. The horse in this instance being either Google or EU Commission.

It's highly, amusingly ironic because:

MS has been stirring the pot for some time trying to get Google convicted of anti-competitive practices in a high number of Juisdictions and has - to date - apparently failed.
Meanwhile:
Just watching MS and outlining their SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in the context of current behavior is highly likely to get anti-competition results!
Oh MS... when will you learn the little things are so very important ... like actually keeping a committment you've made.

Google did it. Maybe not or maybe?

I have serious reservations that Google did very much if anything.
Realistically MS did it all by itself. Whether accidentally or deliberately is
still open to debate because I don't expect them to "clarify".
Either way it is an object lesson about MS's duplicity or incompetence. You
wouldn't want to trust them with anything either way.
