The problem for MS
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, March 08 2013 @ 12:35 AM EST
It's disgraceful that regulatory body take the word of a convicted monopolist
and lets them self manage their compliance.

Has the period that the agreement was meant to run been extended by 14 month? If
not bonus for MS.

Does the agreement include all MS OSes, or is it limited to named OSes? If
winXP, Win7 only are named, bonus for MS.

What was to stop MS re-releasing Win7 and calling it something else and thus
flout the agreement? Nothing i suspect so bonus for MS.

Is Win8 included in the agreement? If not bonus for MS.

Was the fine painful to MS? If not, bonus for MS.

Will EU regulators ever fine a convicted monopolist the maximum penalty? MS was
a good candidate to do just that!

But then again, maybe the EU is infected with the same US attitude that
"some banks are too big to prosecute" and this view crosses to other
industries.....
