I'm not PJ, but I have some specific suggestions:
- allow multiple accounts with pseudonyms
- allow the USER to self-link those accounts, via cryptographically-protected
means
- do NOT require/allow the provider (Google) to have the ability to know
those linkages
- thus, the ability to be both known and anonymous, without risk of collateral
damage from anonymous speech, means TRUE anonymity
- Otherwise, one subpoena squashes that freedom, permanently
- Multiple anonymous accounts may be needed to separate subject matter
--> this is to avoid having $ARGUMENT1 tarred by $ARGUMENT2 (in an
unrelated area), which is almost as bad as non-anonymous speech
--> It also reduces or eliminates ad-hominem attacks, which detract from
subject matter
The most important part of anonymous speech is: a good idea should stand
by itself, regardless of supporters or opponents.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

You don't have to be a mechanic to know your car isn't working, you don't have
to be an engineer to know the bridge fell apart.
Just because you can't suggest how to fix something doesn't invalidate your
knowledge that it needs fixing.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
