Judge Koh Reduces Apple Damages Award; Orders New Trial on Damages re Certain Products in Apple v. Samsung ~pj
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, March 01 2013 @ 05:09 PM EST
Well, 60% was allowed to stand, the rest is not dismissed but retried. Now
given the high bars for reversing jury verdicts, this is not exactly an
endorsement of the jury's decision, but it's not exactly roses for Samsung
either.

Actually, ...

... you still should read the other guys, if only for the humour value :-)

No, but seriously, you should, right or wrong. You should collect all your
information from a variety of sources then make up your own mind. Blind
dependence on Groklaw is no better fundamentally than blind dependence

on FlorianM.

By all means, weight your information (such as trust GL 95% and FM
0.02%) but don't discount other sources entirely.

Judge Koh Strikes a balance
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, March 03 2013 @ 12:54 AM EST
Seems like she almost buys Samsung's theory that the jury foreman was guilty of
misconduct and bias, but is avoiding a controversial (and reputation-damaging to
the foreman) ruling on that issue by attributing his actions to stupidity rather
than malice.

But she isn't going to sit back and make Samsung pay the price for his flawed
theories, either.

I wonder why you don't read the other "guys" to hear a second, 3rd,
or 4th
opinion?

That's the best way to understand something. That could make your
arguements better?

You'll get much further in life, career, etc... if you are willing to listen
(with
an open mind) to people that disagree with you.
