Can the new trial find no infringement?

The order is worded specifically that there will be a new trial on damages. So
even though it is clear that the jury did not follow the judge's instructions
with regards to damages, the judge is nevertheless assuming that the jury did
follow the instructions when determining infringement.

Having said that, I can see no reason why the new jury should not be able to
determine zero damages.

Just damages.

The appeal is about the rest, and one request
from Samsung is for a new trial, and if that
happens, then it all goes back to start.
