They're making a parable of the sheep error there.
Arguing that: Because we support the right to use violence in self defence, we
are supporting muggers using violence to steal from people.

I don't have time, but maybe you guys do, and
the point it makes it incorrect.
SEP patents are available to anyone willing to take
a license, so there can't be any shut out.
The other fear is hold up, but so far no one
has been able to present any evidence that this
has ever happened. And I'm sure Apple and
Microsoft looked for it. That is likely why
they both claimed SEP holders were asking for
too much (without even trying to negotiate), to
make it appear like hold up is a real problem.
It isn't.
