So why don't you set up your own website? I have had my own site,
originally developed for the same reasons, for over a decade now. Over
time, it has grown considerably. I am a software developer, and I put up
a number of free apps. Now I get thousands of hits per week , from all
over the world. My website is listed on my resume. It has been a joy.
All the pages are in hand coded HTML4. Very basic, but it works. Hosting
costs me something like $120 per year.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Since it's work related, I'd say go with LinkedIn. You can put your resume and
other work related info there. If desired, you can even link from it to a
personal site.
