Oh the irony... (aka Thanks for reminding me to transcribe something)
Authored by: OpenSourceFTW on Friday, February 22 2013 @ 02:17 PM EST
Why do you waste your time posting here and trying to get a huge thread going to
sidetrack people from transcribing these documents? Why did you waste a post
saying this when you could have been transcribing and posting?

So, um, micro$soft troll, you fear COMES? We loooove to shine bright lights on
behind-the-scenes naughtiness. So just for that, I'm going to transcribe
something. That will fix your argument of "nobody cares or posts anything
here."

Thanks for reminding me to do my civic duty.

COMES Thread Here...
Authored by: Steve Martin on Saturday, February 23 2013 @ 09:18 AM EST

(Assuming the parent poster is not a troll and honestly wants an answer...)

An ongoing project here on Groklaw is the transcribing of the exhib its made public from the Comes v Microsoft litigation. It (like the rest of Groklaw) is purely a volunteer operation, and is, as I mentioned, ongoing, so it has become standard practice with every article to initiate (along with the other "canonical" threads) a "Comes transcription" thread, where volunteers can post their work for PJ to pick up and add to the collection.

Unfortunately, participation is not what one might hope, so frequently this thread does not receive any posts of finished work, which explains why it looks as if empty threads are being started.
