I think was on Groklaw ...

someone referenced a Uni who were recommended to give a professorship or
something to a young post-grad woman, who was emphatic she didn't want a
relationship or kids.

She was great for a couple of years, then fell for a fellow staffer. Next thing,
there's two kids and she's a happily contented stay-at-home mum with no
intention of going back to work.

Unfortunately, that happens. And to make it worse it's the better-off,
better-educated women who are more likely to choose not to go back to work. The
poorer women can't afford not to.
