Okay, to each his or her own.

But then, any Python-aware editor or IDE handles the
distinction and handles the indent level for you.

Once used to significant white space it becomes intuitive to
know where you are in the code. It is much less error prone
than having to remember to close those curly braces and type
a semicolon at the end of the statement.

At least for me.
