Firing at an UNARMED fleeing suspect
Authored by: Wol on Tuesday, February 12 2013 @ 02:04 AM EST
That's very controversial. Okay, there was a massive cock-up, but the police on
the ground thought he was a suicide bomber.

SOMEBODY should have carried a can for that mess, but probably not the guys on
the ground ...

Cheers,
Wol

Firing at an UNARMED fleeing suspect

The police at the scene were told he was a suicide bomber, that was a MASSIVE
cock-up, due to a whole series of disastrous failings in the chain of command.

Someone (some several) should certainly have been disciplined or charged in some
way for those. But whenever a policeman shoots on duty he is likely to be
suspended straight away. If he kills or badly injures someone that suspension is
automatic. Most of the time most of our police are unarmed so it doesn't arise.
