My God, things have changed. When my cousin (now past retirement age) was a
young man and looking for work as a finish carpenter, he took on a store front
window display job.No one thought about owing the ideas. He did one owner's
window display and by word of mouth he was sought out for another owner's
requests. He ended up re-doing about half of the small town's front facing store
windows. He shamelessly stole ideas from all the stores integrated, modified,
and added to each and all. Every store owner was happy (new nice attractive
window dressing) He was happy (got paid for his labor). He never once worried
about copying or protecting his rights to the "look and feel".
Oh well.....
