Yes, my Galaxy has such high gravitional pull that it makes the infinitely long
straight edge warp around in space time in a strange seemingly rectangular
shape.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I wonder if it's too late for me to apply for a patent on corners? Not rounded
corners or square or whatever, but *all* corners? Maybe a functional patent viz
'Articulate an edge to reduce linearity in a limited location'[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

In short, I would summarize it as follows.
Without an injunction, Apple's damages are unrecoverable. Without an absolute
monopoly, Apple cannot dominate the world with products which are inferior to
and more expensive than their competition. Therefore competitors must be
stopped from existing in any market that Apple wants. It is irrelevant whether
those players have developed the mobile market and participated within it for
decades. Apple is entitled to the whole pie.

You know, if it weren't for the enormous collateral damage, I'd love to see
Apple gets its way here -- only to come crawling back to the court once hundreds
of patent trolls (and a few non-trolls) demand 1% of revenues for their trivial
patents or face an injunction (and with the ability to get an injunction, they
would have no incentive to lower their demands).

It isn't a rectangle with rounded corners. It is
an ellipse with
straightened sides. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
