Patentable aspects of the airplane in the light bulb or expressible as
abstract mathematical expressions. That doesn't mean that the airplane
in the light bulb are not worthy of patent protection.

I'm not saying this particular invention is new or not obvious. it might
very well be old or obvious and therefore not worthy of a patent. The
problem is we never got to answer those questions. Instead, the court
lied and said it wasn't a method and it is a method.
