Yes, but how many millions of dollars will you need to spend on legal fees and
discovery just to get to the point of summary judgement?

But is the USPTO still going to patent stuff that is identical to earlier
stuff, with the additional phrase "on a computer/network/internet"?

I reread a patent, and the entire thing could have been from an application for
a research grant I wrote in 1981, with one difference. I used the phrase
"over a network", where it uses "over the internet".

The organization that I sent that research application to no longer has a copy
of it. (Which doesn't surprise me, since they published two of my research
papers without my knowledge, and completely lacking any attribution to me.)
