Passport A passport can be refused. Additionally, even if your Country chooses to issue one, other Countries are well within their rights of refusing you entry the moment they find you have a criminal record of any kind.

Social Stigma There was a local banker who was guilty of embezzling 16 Million from the bank branch he was a manager at. Even before the actual sentencing his Lawyer was complaining to the Court that he's already been punished enough because no one would hire him for a position of authority over money.

Six-Month Prison Term

So much for having "paid your debt to society" once your prison term is finished, eh? Once they've served their prison terms why are former inmates punished for the rest of their lives?
