Is that this CAN change the system.

It might not result in a prosecution, but the mere fact of its existence -
ESPECIALLY if a lot of people sign it - is that it will give this prosecutor a
nasty fright, and it may make politicians think.

Don't tell people trying to change a messed-up system "don't bother" -
if you try you MIGHT succeed - if you don't try you don't stand a chance.

Cheers,
Wol

Whitehouse Petition: Remove Carmen Ortiz for prosecutorial overreach
Authored by: symbolset on Monday, January 14 2013 @ 09:47 PM EST

This one though, may have a shot. At least if the thing gets 3,500 more signers the administration is committed to answer it.

She has already surrendered any hopes she might have had of higher public office. That's just not going to happen. It would be nice to see here pushed out of a position where she could do this again. Naturally, as others have noted, it just means she'll go get rich in some fancy law firm so it wouldn't exactly ruin her life.
