Indian Gang Rape Accused in Delhi Court

The linked article that mentions the comparison between gang rapes in India and
Ohio is thought provoking.

Indian Gang Rape Accused in Delhi Court

That "overhaul" might take a few nukes. The whole culture, along with
others in the vicinity is a disgrace. It's not just this, it's things like the
caste system, honour killings, the "kitchen accidents" that leave
women dead because they didn't have enough dowry and so much more. In general,
it's a total lack of respect for life and others in that region that causes so
many problems in that region of the world. One thing that gets me is how
they're supposed to "cleanse" themselves in the polluted Ganges river
with garbage, raw sewage and bodies floating by.

Women in India highly respected in comparison with Saudi Arabia

...or other Muslim countries. Where was that where the students of a girl's school were not allowed to leave their burning school because they didn't have their head scarves and abayas on?

Dickens and Delhi Court
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, January 07 2013 @ 01:53 PM EST
Jarndyce and Jarndyce, and the Indian Court system both came from
the same English jurisprudence. India adds the flavors of polytheism
and the ancient rights of an uneducated population to petition the
rulers by their presence and spoken word. Indian courts were
dispensing justice when Europeans were being press-ganged
for the Crusades. You can't expect a couple of centuries of
despised colonialism to make them suddenly change to our
way of doing things.
