Perhaps you're right. (You usually are, even when
you are guessing.) I am pretty sure Samsung does
care about their profitability, though, and it
doesn't make much business sense to jump on the
Windows RT train right now. It's a platform which
virtually nobody wants, needs or likes. If Windows
RT had any likelihood of success, I think Samsung
would be pragmatic enough to hedge their bets,
regardless of what they think of the patent war
against Android. So, my take is that Windows RT
is considered dead on arrival by Samsung. But we
are guessing, and we really shouldn't do that. :)
In any case, your opinion that Samsung could be
putting pressure on Microsoft by not using their
latest Windows platform is a very telling sign
that the game has changed. A lot has happened
since the days when MS were able to dictate the
terms of use for their Windows platforms, and that
was not very long ago at all.
