Uh-oh, Windows RT, Samsung's got second thoughts
Authored by: stegu on Friday, January 11 2013 @ 05:40 AM EST
"First, feedback from its retail partners indicated demand for such
products is only modest. Second, Samsung determined it would take a lot of
investment to inform consumers about the benefits of Windows RT."

Translated into plainspeak:

"Nobody want Windows RT, and we don't see any profit in
creating artificial demand for it by spending a fortune
on marketing."

Watch Microsoft try to muscle them
Authored by: Gringo_ on Friday, January 11 2013 @ 06:29 AM EST

Watch for retaliation from Microsoft now. Maybe they will go nuclear with patents against Samsung, or they will start a smear campaign to try to drag Samsung's name into the mud, or they will go to the FTC or DOJ and insinuate that Samsung is anti-competitive, whatever. Microsoft is a mafia disguised as a corporation, and they don't take kindly to people dissing them.
