I saw a Surface as a prop in a TV drama last night!
Authored by: stegu on Thursday, January 10 2013 @ 11:22 AM EST
They did choose a comedy as well. All bases covered,
I guess. One recent episode of Suburgatory (recent
where I live, we tend to get shows a bit later here
than in the US) had a rather inconspicuous product
placement, not really identifiable by non-geeks as
a Surface. At one point the main character utters
"it's so cool, it's even got an integrated kickstand".

I wonder what the price tag was on that line.
Besides, if that kickstand is their main selling
point, they are not doing well.

Another Surface sighting
Authored by: cjk fossman on Saturday, January 12 2013 @ 12:55 AM EST
In another TV drama.

A journalist is sitting on his bed, apparently composing a
story.

No mention of the kickstand, but it is obviously there. No
screenshot, either. Apparently MS didn't pay enough to get a
dialog line about how cool it is.
