Yes, Congratulations PJ.

You've certainly earned it by your tireless work, but you also deserve it for
the quality of your work.

I am forever amazed at the continued intelligence, ethics, energy, and humor
that PJ brings to this blog.

Luckily PJ's "retirement" has not been absolute. The book we all hope
she will write will now need to include more than just the SCO saga. Maybe it
will even have a happy ending with patents returning to serve their original
purpose rather than being tools of corporate bullying/extortion.

Groklaw is the most honest and accurate blog that I know of, certainly in the legal field. It also has the least amount of inappropriate language. These things matter. You really can let kids of any age read it. But then we can consider how well-informed PJ, Mark and the other invited authors are, and look at the tremendous depth to the articles, PoIR on software is mathematics for example, and find it very difficult to find such stuff anywhere.

None of this comes except by very hard work and an uncompromising stance on doing things right, and I am sure that we are all extremely grateful to PJ and indeed every contributor or commenter (except the trolls!) for making Groklaw what it is.

Those self-same trolls and other whingers should go away and do their own blogs. Just see how far they get. I am quite sure that their lack of stamina would soon become apparent....

I came to Groklaw quite early, but not at the very beginning, believing that IBM were up to their alleged dirty tricks again, and SCO were the innocent victim, however the quality of PJ's work, and her exposure of hard facts, with evidence to back them up, very soon persuaded me otherwise. So I stayed here, and go back to Slashdot less than once a year.
