Private Schools
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, January 04 2013 @ 10:16 AM EST

What I've been more concerned about are the 'Boot Camp' style schools,
where several deaths have occurred,

But this could leave a lot of public schools in a tough position. A sudden
influx of students could put them in conflict with class size limits, cause
budget problems, and negatively impact learning.

It will also impact parents. Do they get their money back for the remainder
of the year? How can they find another private school with open spaces in
time, and even if they can, will that school be a practical alternative?

What a mess.

These are adult schools

When I originally commented I hadn't read the article.

These are adult schools, part of the private for-profit college system. The
Sawyer Schools have apparently had their certification pulled. There is no
reason given.

This is still in process. It is still possible that the certification could be
restored. The regulator is still talking to the school.
