Not on Dick Tracy's watch.
Authored by: UncleVom on Tuesday, January 01 2013 @ 08:10 PM EST

A pretty good article kind of tangent to the mess, but not.

FWIW I remember Dick Tracy still in the local newspaper complete with watch in
the 1960's.

Eventually the newspaper deemed it too violent and dropped it in the late '60s
or early '70's.

Apple watch rumours.
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, January 01 2013 @ 09:13 PM EST
I think rather than a watch/phone as a stand alone that as you say has been done
before, something that might make more sense is a watch remote.

Think along the lines of a shrunken Wii U type controller which accesses your
Apple hardware goodies using bluetooth gives some small screen video
feedback/minimal touch and audio in/out.

This could interface as a hub with the various iDevices in your pocket or
backpack and pipe things through your always present headset.

It could also act as a remote for your soon to arrive Apple television.

Pretty amazing things that only Apple could think of.
