In the industry global and/or world phone implies it can be used almost anywhere

Verizon may sell a "global" phone, but Verizon don't make phones,
nor do they operate mobile phone networks outside the US.
Verizon's "world" phone is probably sold elsewhere by others.
Here's a suggestion for a game that can be played world wide:
Look at local carrier branded phones and try to determine
the Maker and the Model.
