well regulated vs. well-regulated?

Because in earlier drafts, the hyphen was used.

And because I had forgotten that it came out of the version
as passed. The Virginia Constitution of 1776 has the
earlier version, with the hyphen.

And because I'm human, I make mistakes.

In the vernacular of the time, both "well-regulated" and
"well regulated" referred to being "well practiced". Think

of the regulator on your gas bottle. It referred to the
ability to maintain even and steady pressure, with a higher
than newbie degree of marksmanship.
