And how much would it have cost to keep guns away from the likes of Lanza? The
only reason he was able to kill all those kids was because he had easy access to
guns. If he didn't have that access, those kids would likely be alive today.
What possible reason could his mother have for:

a) owning an assault rifle, among other guns
b) leaving them where her son could get them, when she knew he had mental
issues

As I said earlier, I don't have a problem with guns. I even used to own one and
know there are many valid reasons for having one. I do have a problem with
those who insist they need a small arsenal for "self protection". I
do have a problem with those who seem to think they can't take a step away from
home without carrying a gun. It is those people who are the cause of this
problem, no matter what the NRA claims.
