The lessons from history

Maybe Jobs was too far into himself to realise that the other side had
counter-thermonuclear devices, manned by sharp lawyers.
Apple may have a pile of coin, but those are quickly spent; to sustain the
effort, the pile needs replenishing.

Kingdoms has sunk under the weight of debt incurred to stay in a fight they
often as not started themselves. Apple's strategists would do well to zoom and
pinch their way through a history book

I think a better analogy here would be a bomber that
prematurely dropped the bomb in the ocean. Didn't do any
damage. Scared a few citizens into leaving the country but
didn't hurt anybody and lost his weapon all in one fell swoop.
