Hogan was presumptively biased
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, December 19 2012 @ 09:20 AM EST
Great Supreme's cite, well written and concluded. It's a shame Samsung will have
to waste reams of paper making this argument and all the rest at the next level.
Tks.

Hogan was presumptively biased

"Concealment or misstatement by a juror upon a voir dire examination is
punishable as a contempt if its tendency and design are to obstruct the
processes of justice. So held where the juror, on being asked to state her past
employments, mentioned several, but deliberately concealed an employment by the
defendant, and, on being questioned as to bias, replied falsely that she had
none, all with intent to gain a place in the box and thwart the
prosecution." Clark 289 U. S. 10, 1933, J. Cardozo

How much more on point could Judge Koh want or need?

Well done post

I agree, the above post is well written.

Appearances are very important. If I am doing nothing wrong, but appear to be
doing so, that can be as much of a problem as actually doing something wrong.
