You must not be living in the same United States. The government continually
infringes more and more on our freedoms and livliehoods. For example, are you
familiar with the Patriot Act? Have you flown anywhere lately? Did you happen
to notice when it became public knowledge that the president believes he has the
right to have American citizens killed merely on his word without due process?
I don't think the current U.S government is as benign as you appear to believe.
