Possibly because those 'concepts' weren't looked for.

But that's beside the point. I know some rabid Apple fans. They think that
the court should trash Samsung. But they are going to buy Apple anyway.

The average consumer is likely to look upon things differently. Most of the
press coverage I've seen outside of the tech sites hasn't made Apple look
all that good. In fact they come across as spoiled brats.

Samsung doesn't end up looking all that pretty either, but you already knew
Apple made phones. You might not have known about Samsung until
reading about this case. Maybe you get curious, and check both phones
out, and decide that the Samsung is as good, or close enough and less
expensive.

You probably talk about what you bought, and why. People talk about their
phones. And so someone who may not have read the articles now knows
Samsung makes phones.

Apple has done a huge favor for Samsung.
